The tauhou is an indigenous species, making its way (naturally) from Australia in 1856. The Maori name means ‘stranger’. The scientific name is Zosterops lateralis.
It is a small bird and nectivorous. So the set up here was the 700 with a 300/4 G and 1.4x TC for maximum reach. I had set up some sugar-water close by to lure the subjects close to my position.
