Pondering what to write next Brendan Moyle Aug 30

Okay, the joys of study break are upon us. I've got a lot of ideas floating around in my head- hope to get something done on pseudo-genes soon.

Nonetheless, I seem to have left things a little late today, so I'm afraid it's going to be a touch of artistic license. A slightly different self-portrait:

Feels like it's been a long time since I last made a cogent post here, and the extra teaching load I've taken on this semester is the major culprit.

I've got a paper on the black-market on tigers in China accepted at the SCB conference in Auckland in December. I'm kind of looking forward to the conference and soaking in the papers on conservation. It's been a while since my last attendance at such things, so I'm hopeful the tiger paper will provoke some interest.

And where would we be without some wildlife photos:





I appreciate bot everyone is a fan of such creatures, but, the colours and the textures can still be appreciated.
