I’ve scheduled this post to appear today (the 11th November 2011) at 11:11 am plus eleven seconds (NZ summer time).
Why? Because I can.
Cool! It’s interesting to think that this was probably the first 11:11:11 on 11/11/11 that there was really substantial interest in. 100 years ago there wouldn’t have been enough people carrying their own timepieces around with them – nor would most of the clocks have been accurate enough to really nail that point in time down to a second.
Of course, the best time to be around would have been 11:11:11 on 11 November 1111, but I don’t think horology was up to the job back then.
