		<description>I do have a bit of a soft spot for the saddleback (tieke).  It&#039;s just one of our two remaining wattlebirds (endemic family) and in a lot more trouble than the kokako.  Part of the problem has been the massive decrease in genetic heterogeneity.  It&#039;s frustrated attempts to set up captive breeding programmes.  And translocations have a low success rate.  

They have a pretty cool song too :)

But hey, I could make up reasons to pick any of the others too :)</description>
