Get nominating for the Skeptics Awards 2011!

By Siouxsie Wiles 11/12/2011

The Skeptic Magazine is calling for nominations for its first Skeptics Awards celebrating a variety of skeptical activities in 2011. The categories are:

The best podcast
The best blog
The best event, campaign or outreach event of the year
The best science video clip on the web
The best sceptical video clip on the web

So how about adding some Kiwi flavour to the nominations? If you need some suggestions… local podcasts include The Official Sciblogs Podcast (TOSP) and the Completely Unnecessary Skeptical Podcast (CUSP). Meanwhile, there are nearly 40 writers on SciBlogs for you to choose from for the blog category! And may I be so bold as to suggest that those of you who recently enjoyed my little video on fireflies and superbugs could contemplate nominating that for the science video category? Saying that, I’m going to vote for the fabulous Daniel Keogh and his video on the placebo effect.

So what are you waiting for? As they say:

Get voting, and show your favourite Skeptics that their efforts at podcasting, blogging, outreaching and vodcasting are appreciated.
