This morning on Breakfast TV, Rawdon Christie spoke with Professor Jacqueline Rowarth about the small number of studies pursuing science careers in New Zealand compared to the arts. She makes some interesting points about why the sciences might appear less attractive to students, discusses some of the consequences for New Zealand, and suggests some possible solutions, including the introduction of science scholarships.
