This is an initiative by the Royal Society New Zealand and Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment. Activities and events will be jointly hosted at Auckland University of Technology and The University of Auckland and are expected to attract over 2,000 people.
The fun kicks off on Wednesday 6th August, with an opening event at the University of Auckland, and is followed by several public lectures and webcasts featuring prominent international speakers. The emphasis is on global issues and will be pitched at a general audience. Topics will range from climate change to astronomy and New Zealand’s place in the world.
